Pub owners with kilt themes
I just had dinner at a pub that has a special on Wednesdays. Wear your kilt and receive 20% off the bill. Great I enjoyed the meal the atmosphere was cool. Yes there is a "However"....The dress code for the waitress and barman were kilt oriented. Great! But what sad excuses for kilts! The barman was wearing a female kilt skirt that barely went around him, closed the wrong way and the only thing holding it up was a belt. I wish the pub owners would dress the staff in decent kilts and at least have a proper kilt for the guys...like what gives. How does one not make the employee feel bad at the beginning of his shift and tell them the kilt doesn't fit him let alone say it was made for the other gender. Maybe they will see the light on a kilt night. Might be able to speak to the manager on Friday. Some peoples children...end of rant

I wish any of my local pubs would give that a try but, if they did, I dare say I'd be the only one to attend in a kilt That's the trouble with living in a rural area: I guess I am the only guy with a kilt within my "local's" catchment area - and beyond!

What a great deal. I have a feeling that if a local pub would pull that off here, we'd have the entire UK staff showing up...
I agree that it would be great if the owners would provide a suitable kilt for the employees. I just would be a little ticked if I were told that I had to purchase a garment for work that I otherwise would never touch, say, traditional Russian wear, for $200 on the cheap end.
Just a thought, we love the kilt, but a local bar tender may not.

There is a chain in Ontario, called Molly Blooms that has their employees in Kilts, The quality seems better,
I would think if it's a uniform that the employee has to purchase I would feel better serving the public in a well built kilt, and preferably one for the right gender.
Cheers
