The wider belt will help. The bottom of the belt rests on your hips, so the wider the belt the more it fills the loops and the more it raises it. I think we tried you with one of our belts at the booth right?
What belt are you wearing with it now? The ones we had were 1 3/4 and thats about minimum for filling out the loops. A normal pant belt wont cut it, it rides too low and make the waist curl.
