Hmmm, common Scot face, common American belly...mistaken for a lot of folks often...a lot less when kilted though.

Seems that everywhere I go, some one says, "You look just like So-And-So," or they flat out mistake me for Old So-And-So. That has lead to some embarassing, entertaining, fun, and even dangerous meetings.

Several times I've had people try to collect money owed by someone else. A couple of times I've had some sweet young thing run up and give me a big hug and kiss cause they thought I was some one else, of course I didn't mind at all. And once, I almost got killed because I was mistaken for the person fooling around with another man's wife. Lucky for me, I talked him into letting me show him some ID before he made me leave the saloon to get shot. (Also taught me not to go into strange saloons alone.)

I always tell folks that regardless of their opinion of my looks, it must be a popular style with God, otherwise there wouldn't be so many that look like me.

So, did you ever meet a blonde named Barbara, a naturist & nudist activist who has a "thing" for guys who look like us? She has a long list of men she'd been "in love" with and "been with" and had a photo album of us...and she was right...we do look alike.
She's married now, to a guy who looks like us, but we're all friends...she visited a couple years ago and is visiting again this May. She's living down in Florida now. Like you say...can have its perks to be a Scot
