New lassie

Hi everyone! I recently discovered this site and I have been enjoying reading the forums, so I thought I'd say hello. My family has been involved with the Colonial Highland Gathering in Fairhill, Maryland for years and I have always enjoyed seeing all the beautiful kilts! I myself purchased a women's kilted skirt a few years back and have since received numerous compliments on my attire at the festival. We can't leave all the kilted fun to the men, now can we! Perhaps I'll post a photo if I ever manage to get it scanned...

Anywho...I look forward to perusing this site more!

P.S. After reading some postings about some women's reactions to kilts, I'd like to say that not all women who swoon at the site of a kilted man are middle-aged or intoxicated or merely wondering what is under there....I can testify that there are normal, intelligent, sophisticated, 20-something women who truly appreciate a man in a kilt. It takes a real man to wear a kilt, and to all of you that do, I applaud you! I wish more young men did, lol!

Annsachd... welcome to the forum! It's GREAT to have another "local" get into the mix! I've been to the Festival and it's top-notch in my mind.

Hopefully I'll see you this summer, somewhere along the way. If we're not booked, I'll definately be attending again.
