All of Buzz Kidder's sporrans come with a chain. Not a standard sporran chain belt with the leather strap and buckle, but just a simple long chain that you cut down to size and clip on your sporran. It's not what I would use full-time, but it comes free with the sporran and will work until you find something better.
As for the sporrans, I agree with everyone here. They are the best value I have found for the money. Warning, testimopnial coming up.
I wear the kilt for a living. I wear it almost every day, and moreover I sell kilts and kilt accessories, so how I look is sort of like an advertisement for me. Moreover, I have access to pretty much any kind of sporran I want, at wholesale prices no less. And the sporran I choose to wear on a daily basis? A brown Buzz Kidder Rob Roy style. I've had it for years and have never thought of replacing it. The only thing that I have added is that I pinned a crest badge to the front flap for some added pazazz. :-)
You'll find it to be the roomiest, sturdiest sporran you can buy for the money. It is equipped on the back to be worn with either a clip-on chain belt or a plain leather belt. Works great either way.
As I have said before, Buzz Kidder sporrans are what we stock on our shelves in the gift shop. If people want an imported dress or semi-dress sporrans, we will custom order them, but 9 times out of 10 our customers go with a BK sporran. We even have a lot of folks using his black Rob Roy sporrans for formal wear.
