Right out of the SportKilt catalog.
Change into bathers or wear as a cover-up at the pool. Change at cycling events.
It would be a HOOT to see one over a wetsuit wouldn't it? You could put a whole new meaning to "pleat depth".

I also dive and was on the phone with a fellow diver talking about St. Patricks Day coming up. When I mentioned wearing my kilt in the parade the discussion switched to if I would wear one diving.
While very impracticle for underwater use it would be very practicle for changing. I hate to wear a bathing suit under my wetsuit. So a kilt would be very handy for changing. I need to find a material that drys fast and/or repels water, holds pleats well, and is comfortable.
I also worked on a friends roof sunday. 12/12 pitch 30+ feet in the air I suddenly realized the modesty snaps on a UK would really come in handy. My fiance and the friends wife both agreed when I told them what I was thinking.

Are you saying you need a full 8 yard tank for diving off Taz?

I was heavily into SCUBA for a while, logging 2 or 3 dives every weekend. Haven't done it for a few years now, but I know you're right about the kilt being useful for changing. I used to try to shimmy out of my wetsuit with a towel wrapped around my middle, and it was not an easy task!
Maybe I'll get back in the water this year. Sounds like a good kilt marketing opportunity!
