Well, almost did. Was considering themin early October after all the hurricanes in Florida disrupted them a bit. They had a three month lead time then. Had it done by Kathy Lare www.kathyskilts.com and had it in time for last years Holiday parties.

They did seem professional and polite. Here's a copy of a couple emails back from them.

We normally take a 60% deposit at time of order & the
balance + shipping when your kilt is completed. The
deposit gets the tartan fabric ordered from the mill
in Scotland & secures your place on our calendar.

Order when ready, no problem. There will always be a
wait, though, as we are busier than we had ever
imagined. A lack of kilt makers is decidedly a big
problem!
Our "Hillwalkers" are made exactly like the classic
kilts as far as all the "bells & whistles". Your
"Hillwalker" will have the loops unless you choose
otherwise. Those loops are always mistakenly called
"belt" loops but they are traditionally only for the
sporran chain/belt to keep it from sliding down one's
backside. They are only made of the same wool as the
kilt & not really stressed to take on the pressure of
the big belts. Belts are really to be worn over these
loops, but almost everyone threads it through them.
Cheers!
Alexis M.

So, hope that helps you some.
