as for the laces, I have seen a .mpg video someplace, but here is what I have found so far.. Begin by twining the laces together (as opposed to tying an overhand knot) or wrapping them together for two or three turns. Pass the ends behind the leg above the ankle and back to the front where they are tied off in a standard lace bow.
