I was referring to using a crest. I was simply pointing out that using items from a heraldic design might cause problems. I hope I did not cause any antagonism.
OK, I wasn't sure what you meant. Of course no antagonism! I love all the discussion on this forum and I'm not the type to take offence, anyway. I just wanted to know what you meant so I was talking through the tartan-designing side of it for the sake of clarity.
