Name change revisted...

So anyone have any thoughts on the adoption of a more fitting name for this group? Some doing with Clan X or the like?

I'll give it some thought, maybe something more related to kilts?

I know that you've been considering a change since you found "X Marks the Scot" was trademarked by Clan MacBubba. That is the only thing I have in favor of the change.

I personally prefer the X Marks the Scot name, even if most of us are only thimble Scots.

Even so, it is your choice, and I'm pretty sure the majority of us woul follow along with little or no complaint.

I like the name the way it is; besides it's a nice play on words that's easy for people to remember.

I posted this before I saw the other discussion about Clan X. The more I think about it the more I like sticking to what we have. It is always fun to revisit things though...

I guess some of you already know that this forum also shows up under kiltinaction.com and kiltforum.com so I say we keep on keepin on.

Yup. Nothing like a site that's grown SO FAST that any changes were easily "do-able" MONTHS ago!!!

You can always leave the site as XMarksTheScot.com... but it would be entirely possible to make the Forum Section another name.

Same domain, but it could be the home of "Tartan Talk" (so to speak). Just get these guys to come-up with a good name for the Forum itself! Either that, of give it a nickname like XMarksTheScot Forum... "Official Home of whatever".

Then Highland Tide Wear can come up with the shirts.

I like the name, and all those I've mentioned it to always find it amusing and witty. I'd keep it.

Always fancied being a part of the X-Men though!
