Sorry, I just saw the home page with the sports shoe at first; I see the boot's heels are enclosed. I'm still not sure about them though. To me, they almost look like high-heel fashion boots.

Fast way to break in boots. Get em soaking wet then wear em all day. The leather will form nicely to your feet.

However I do like the x-amples that every one has posted.
By the way, I agree with Bubba. Ya gotta get them wet and wear them until they dry.

I am inclined to agree, and I am usually quite against the tassle feature on a boot....
