Is Prince Charles the only kilt wearer in the British Royal Family. I don't think I have seen Prince Andrew in a kilt before.

I thought I recalled seeing Philip in a kilt before http://www.cabarfeidh.com/phil.jpg

kilted royals...
The Duke of Edinburgh wears a kilt on occasion, though not as much as Charles -- he was the Colonel-in-Chief of the old Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforths & Camerons), and a friend of mine has thepicture of Phillip in their uniform with a Mackenzie tartan kilt that Colin just posted!
Charles's grandfather George VI was very fond of the kilt, and Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, was very proud of being Scots as well.
Can't say I've seen The Duke of York in a kilt, but Princess Anne represents the Queen to the Church of Scotland, and I have seen her in kilted skirts before.
Cheers,
Todd

I met the Prince of wales when I was at school , he is a gentleman 100% the Princes trust does more for young people that Blair has ever done, he is not perfect hes human, his private life is his business and I believe he will one day be a good king , he loves Scotland and always wears the kilt when he visits. as for his wife some of the comments ive read about how she looks etc are a disgrace. this is a mans wife were talking about. He is a remarkable man who is flawed, this makes him all the more remarkable. Im not a massive fan of the Royal family but they a lot for Britain in terms of tourism and culture.

HRH the Duke of Rothesay
I was just watching the BBC news, and there was HRH the Duke of Rothesay bekilted. I couldn't help but think of the question of how well we are doing with getting the news out about kilts. I would like to suggest that we need a royal patron, and HRH the Duke of Rothesay should be he.

Alas, not me, Graham! I am an ardent Royalist and, of course, I wish Charles and Camilla many years of happiness BUT, he should renounce his Rights to the Throne.
I do not wish to go into too much detail here, it's not the place for it, but I knew both Prince Charles and Princess Diana very well for many years. I visited them at their country home, Highgrove; I was invited to their Receptions and Christmas parties at Kensington Palace, and I have accompanied The Princess to the Royal Opera House in London, and met her from time to time after their separation and divorce. I mention all this simply to strengthen my claim that I knew them both really quite well and certainly better than most.
Frankly, I have little personal respect for the man, although I acknowledge his stirling charitable works through The Prince's Trust. His treatment of The Princess was diabolical from even before their marriage - at which ceremony he made solemn promises and vows which he had no intention of maintaining. Had he been the husband to Diana that he promised to be, her life would have been very different; her health would have been sound and she would have been truly happy - and alive to this day! Diana was used by Prince Charles and abandoned by him. It is little wonder that her health suffered and that she sought affection elsewhere - just as he had done from the start.
I shall never forgive him for that and I pray that he never becomes my King.

Hamish I think we may still be in agreement. I said I wish them happiness, I condemn the hypocrisy of the media that criticise them and do the same things.
But I do agree with you that Charles should not be king, I don't believe he is fit to be King.

I really don't have an oar in that water, but I agree Hamish. Charles should hand it off to William.
