I stumbled across this site accidentally and noticed this thread.
I'm actually a kilt maker and make the kilts for this store. In it's current guise it has only been there around a year and has nothing to do with whatever shop was there beforehand. The Scottish Store actually originated in Livingston, just outside Edinburgh and moved to those premises early last year.
As I'm the shop's only kiltmaker, I'd love to hear what you think of them if you happen to visit.
