That's happened to me too.

Well, what are your thoughts about vB? Hard to believe things can be that easy, eh? The license is a big bite to chew, but once you get going with the package, you realize what a bargain it is.

I need to sit down with it a little longer and make sure I am doing everything right. I also need to figure out how to change the template so that I can add ads and whatnot. I do like it a lot though. I will PM you the link so you can check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions...

Take some time to browse the vBulletin.com forum. I can help you ferret out some of the ad placement modifications, if you like. I use AdSense in one column of my portal and insert an ad after the first post in each thread, which seems to work well for the forum members and myself.
HERE are instructions on how to place the banner ads for USA Kilts, Freedom Kilts, Union Kilts and The Celtic Croft, as you have them above. It's a simple mod to the FORUMHOME template, right within the ACP.
*EDIT* To display the same banners in other areas will require modifying those templates, as well.
As I mentioned in my PM, let me know if you need some assistance and I will help you anywhere I can.
