Jury Duty
So I got the notice yesterday...Have to drive 140 miles to Flagstaff next Tues for jury duty. I never get picked due to a history of law enforcement, corrections, and now working with the courts with DUI clients, DUI screenings, probationers and parolees. But I gotta go and get "not picked." I also have a client with a matter before the same judge as the one I got called for.
So I'm talking to the clerk on the phone getting the details of what to do and I ask her what the judge would think of a jurer in a kilt. She lit up and said her husband has a kilt.
Finally decided not to wear a kilt since it might somehow affect my client in that other case...and frankly, with all the sinus pressure on my brain from this "100 day cold and cough" going around I'm not sure I'd handle the silly questions well.
There was a thread here a few months ago about wearing kilts to court...some of you do. Just decided this isn't the time for me.
