Welcome Irish,
And, welcome to your new addiction
You have the call of the kilt addict down pat already, "I have some money and wanna know what kilt to buy next." (I'm waiting for #24 and #25 to arrive, a UK basil survival and a hand sewn tank, Macdonald of Kingsburgh, from Kathy's Kilts).
I recommend surfing for what you want/need then double checking on the reputation of the kiltmaker.
Do ya wanna wear the kilt for rough work, office work, hiking, dress up, etc. What tartans are available in the "non-wool" fabrics that fit your ancestry, etc.
You also already have figured out the other basic of kilt addiction....the only thing that will medicate a kilt jones is to buy another kilt while you're waiting.
Welcome aboard,
Ron

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
