January 25: the birthday of Robert Burns, Scotland's national bard, in 1759. Many kilts are worn on that day at Burns Night suppers around the world.
April 16: The anniversary of the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Jacobite forces under Charles Edward Stuart defeated by Government forces at Drumossie Moor.
June 24: The anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, in which Scottish forces under Robert the Bruce defeated Edward II.
September 9: The anniversary of the Battle of Flodden in 1513, where a large number of Scots, including King James IV, were killed.
Also, perhaps kilts could be worn on:
1 July -- Canada Day
4 July -- US Independence Day
26 January -- Australia Day
In recognition of the contributions of Scots & Celtic immigrants to those countries -- other national holidays for other countries would be appropriate as well.
25 April -- ANZAC Day (Australia New Zealand Army Corps)
11 November -- Remembrance/Veteran's Day
Both of these holidays would be appropriate to honour Scottish & Celtic soldiers, no matter what nation's military they served.
Cheers,
Todd

Don't forget that Tartan Day is July 1 down under and in NZ.
