    Hey Mike,

I knew it was just a case of me not knowing how to do it. Thanks for the tip.

Boy, you guys are doing so much better than me...I feel like a lost cause...I can't get from page to page. My Avitar disappeared and its too big to reload on this thing and I have no clue how to make the pixel things happy. Feel VERY discouraged...like I've lost friends....out of the loop.

How can this be so hard for me and so easy for you guys, am I that stupid?

It took me a LONG time to get the custom avitar on the old format, but managed...that stuff is long gone and now the "simple" new stuff rejects it.

Once I go to a PM the only way I can find to get back to the main forum is to use the back button or go in cold from the toolbar...can't find those links.

Everytime I post a PM I get a choice between an acknowledgement which I don't need or canceling the message, that makes no sense.

Is there an owner's manual or "for dummies" deal for this new format that I'm missing? Even going away for a while hasn't worked.

Is anyone else as discouraged as I am?

When doing the PM, the cancel only cancels the reply acknowledgement, not the PM.

To resize your avatar, open your local file with MS Paint (under Accessories), go to Image > Attributes, and you can set the size there. I think the size limitations are 100 by 100 pixels....

When I read my PMs, I navigate back to the forums by clicking on the links at the top of the page. I see: X Marks the Scot - A Kilted Community > General Kilt Talk > Kilt Advice > etc. There should be a series of those above the blue bar that has 'Portal' 'User CP' 'FAQ'....

It is different, that is for sure, but I have found that this software does a much better job tracking my read/unread articles, and it seems a lot faster....

    Good Luck!!

yes it is! I like it, with the exception of the very top, behind the xmarks banner and the kiltstore ad/banner. Otherwise I quite like it
