It seems kind of odd to me. It can't have be cheap to mail leather samples all that way. You'd think that they'd want to make sure they had a pretty good chance of making a sale before sending the stuff.

Anyway, I understand that leather kilts are hotter than blazes to wear.

Well, I imagine that making leather kilts involves getting a large piece of leather and then cutting it down to size for tailoring. That process probably leaves a large amount of left-over pieces not big enough to be useful for anything - so Rkilts are making a very sensible and quite possibly profitable use of their 'waste'. Quite wise I think.

Actually I was surprised how comfortable re; tempurature the kilts are to wear. The leather does breath and the pleats do create air movement. For the evening when it's cooler or fall and spring wear the leather kilts are very comfortable. In the summer when it's 80 dgrees F or 27C even a wool kilt is too hot. That's my personal experience.
On the shipping of samples it was under $4.00 and true I don't send that many out and when I'm feeling adventurous I will do a cold call. It's fun to see the reactions too.
    Cheers

    Cool Rkilts

Beware this man. He is a menace to society and your wallet. I am having to remortgage my home just to keep up with the interest payments on my paypal payments. All for the sake of looking gorgeous, sexy, alluring, becoming, attractive......delusional.....sigh......
As for the kilts themselves...you may have women screaming at you as they come out of a restaurant desperately searching their handbags, looking at their mobile phone menus to see if the have cameras so they can take a pic of you. If it can happen to this old git in Oxford it can happen to you. There I was...on my way to the New Theatre to see young Rufus Wainwright again, minding my own business when all this screaming starts behind me. Have you any idea how much noise seven drunk middle aged women make? Then it dawns upon you that maybe there are times when grundies should be worn, preferably those with steel gussets.
Take notice all of you...if you wear one of these offensive articles of clothing security people at concert halls greet you like an old friend, shake your hand and ask if there is any colour they havent seen yet. I have made a mental note not to wear one when I carry out a bank heist...I dont think the proverbial stocking over the head will be enough somehow.
I have had to go to RKBA meetings (RKilts Buyers Anonymous) to seek help and therapy. Its working...I havent bought one for....oooo...a month at least.
Before I started wearing these offensive garments every day I had about 300 clients. Now, 18 months later I have 500. My staff are begging me to put trousers back on. It would seem that not everyone out there wants their accountant in a pinstripe suit, golf club tie, rotary badge and masonic handshake. Accountancy...the new rock n roll.

    Vile, vile garmets.

I know all about the mobile phone camera bits. Leather or no, I get people snapping my picture all the time. Bloody annoying.

I want a leather kilt... But with 100 degree temps and 100% humidity, I would melt into a little puddle of grease.

If I wore a leather kilt, I would look even more like a Scotch Pirate or an Angry Berserker.

    Unhappy

It's strange, and perhaps slightly concerning, that I have not received this general "mail-shot" of coloured leather samples. Could it be because I already have five assorted leather kilts - admittedly from other kiltmakers - but they are all black (the kilts, not their makers!!)? Could it be because I have not yet placed an order with this particular kiltmaker and he, therefore, does not know of my existence? I am not a worrier but I'm begining to think that I should be!

I have noted the E-mail address link in the previous post and will be taking steps without delay.

Another member of Leather RKilt Buyer's Anonymous...a gutter leather kilt addict.

Evil Robert did me a huge favor by cranking out a couple sporran belts when I was in need. He slipped in some leather samples and I became instantly hooked on the saffron (I changed the name to buckskin for improved masculinity)...

There was no peace, no rest, until...gasp, the order was placed...the money spent...

But dang folks, it is a fine piece of work....busy pondering which color is next to feed my leather kilt addiction....

Have pics from this weekend dancing in it, but think the galleries are still down and this new system doesn't allow me to do attachments....so, when the galleries are up will post the pics of the saffron/buckskin in action.

And no, I'm in Arizona (dry heat) and don't notice it being too hot for the leather RKilt.

Remember, she who must be obeyed may be turned on by the look of her man in a fine leather kilt....
