    Irish national kilt

Thanks for the offer Al but I am a size 34 (actually 35 but 34 sounds better) so I don't think it would fit to well, nice tartan though...
The economy or the standard sound like good choices...

    Stillwater questions

Thanks for the info Chasim, I also think the heavyweight looks good, but not for work.
College bills aren't stupid they will pay off in the long run, good luck.

    Stillwater, I'm thinking to much

Alan thanks for the info, I am leanig towards the standard model in either the black stewart or the nightstalker.
The fuzz doesn't bother me to much.

My little piece of advice...dont even bother with the economy. The standard is a good bang for the buck. For 20-30 dollars more you can get a USAK philabeg, which are custom made for a better fit.

Warehouse work could really take a toll on the fabric. I understand the want for wearing a kilt in that environment, but you would be best served to wear one of two options.

1). A UtiliKilt... which will stand-up to ANYTHING that you can throw at it, or
2). A poly/viscose kilt which will wash-and-wear, and is lighter in weight for comfort.

I would not buy an "Economy" if you don't have to with the StillWaters. The "Standard" kilts are heads-and-tails better for a few more bucks.

I just received a kilt from Stillwater in the Nightstalker tartan. It's a pretty good kilt for casual wear. One thing to beware of - the picture of the Nightstalker tartan on their website is very misleading. On the site it comes across as a brown base, when in reality it is black. It's still nice looking, but not what I expected.

Can't see a lightweight kilt in a freight warehouse...

I'm with Jimmy, get a Utilikilt. Either a workman's or a Survival would be tough enough. You'll also appreciate the pockets.

I still can't understand why trucker's aren't all wearing UK workmans or survivals for the FREEDOM.

Only other thought would be a leather kilt you didn't mind putting some serious patina on. Probably cool enough up there in Alberta. Robert at RKilts puts pockets on his. UK is talking about adding pockets to their leather kilt but not sure if its available yet.

After Visiting Freedom Kilts two days, I would highly recommand a Freedom Kilt over a tartan kilts for the line of work that you do. The Freedom Kilts have pockets and you don't need to use a Sporran.

I have a Black Stewart from Stillwater kilts. For the Money, they are great. But they are warm.
