private messages being weird

Hey Highlandtide, I didn't get notice of the message you sent me about the Games Moderator job for what looks like a week after you sent it. Did it take me a week to write back to you? The message didn't show up in my inbox until the 25th, but it looks like you sent it on the 17th.

Also, when I got here this morning I have a little blinking notice that says I have a PM from Silverlake Punk, but when I look at my messages, there's nothing in my inbox.

Is there a hiccup going on, or is this just me being dumb and missing something?

Just now I got the little blinking message that says I had a new PM from Jewddha, but when I checked, the message was from M.A.C. Newsome!

Mine did not blink, but I have only had one since the change. I am presently out of the PM loop, so I really have not noticed.

Besides having my sent box full of messages I had deleted a long time ago, no hiccups for me.

Yes, Hank, I believe I've had some problems with PMs.

I've sent out a couple of them recently [one one the same day as the big switch, I think], and checked the little box to notify me when the message was received, but I haven't received any notification that they've been read yet.

Of course, I'm assuming that just because the people I sent them to have been online regularly since then that they've read their PMs, but I think that's a reasonable sort of assumption to make.

You know it doesnt send you a note to let you know one has been recieved right? There is a little note under your folder jump in the inbox that will say something like:
You have 2 confirmed and 4 unconfirmed private message receipts

Also people can choose whether or not to send a reciept so that might be the deal as well.

I had a PM today with the wrong sender's name on it. I opened it to find it was someone else.

I'm showing a flashing icon that I can't seem to respond to or shut off but it's showing the date and name of a message from several months ago.
