USA semi traditional
I've had my semi traditional kilt in Hamilton tartan from Rocky for a while now and here's my comments on it. This thing has taken a bunch of hard wear and still looks like new, not a frayed thread. This is one of the first of this formerly known as traditionals wher Rocky top stitched the upper part of the pleats rather than using hidden stitches and, at first, the edges of the stitched part stuck up a little bit, but after hitting it with the steam iron a couple times they now lay quite flat. I've run it through the wash, hang dried it and touched up the pleats with the iron a few times, that's the extent of maintainance. There isn't so much as a snag anywhere and even ketchup washed out of it without a trace. All in all, a very comfortable and rugged kilt needing very little in the way of care. Well worth the money for a daily wear garment
As an aside, I like the kilt hose Rocky carries too, after shopping around they're a good value considering shipping is included in the price.

Anything low maintanence is good. Appreciate those comments Bubba!

What a rip-off!
I was wearing my new Scottish National PV on the weekend when I walked past a door that had a brass screw sticking out. suddenly I heard a rip and got a really sick feeling to my stomach.
Thankfully, the tear was vertical, concealed by the fold of the pleat and will be easy to mend.

Graham, glad to hear it's repairable. Fabric and nails just don't go well together.

A hearty AMEN! to that Bubba. I spilled coffee and mustard (not at the same time) all over my USAK traditional, and it just wiped off because of the teflon coating. This is on a dress tartan too, that has a LOT of white in it! That PV is some nice fabric.

I have to agree, five of my kilts are PV and I enjoy the confidence that i can wear them anywhere and not have to worry about spills and stains.
PV is a great alternative, and isn't it nice to have the choice!!
Thank you Rocky for putting kilts on bums;)
