You should wear the new tartan from Lochcarron entitled Highland Granite see http://kiltmaker.blogspot.com/2005/0...ochcarron.html

kiltedpride: Now that is a striking tartan, it would look good with a full black leather rig, very nice!
highlander_Daz: Sorry you had a bad experience in Aberdeen, but there's always good and bad wherever you go. I was up in Inverness just before New Year and had a great time attending a birthday party, and then had another party out on the Black Isle at Avoch.
The 'bouly bashers' have calmed down a bit since the new laws were introduced at the start of the year...
Ranald: I don't think I've ever seen a dedicated 'kilt night' here, for us that's more like a normal 'stagger night!'...

That really is a nice tartan, something about the name Highland Granite and its looks grabs me. In otherwords I like it!

Welcome aboard Granite. Don't worry about your questions. Not everyone here has been wearing the kilt for years. I have found the members here to have a wealth of information.

Hi,
My kilt will be on holiday in September, visiting San Francisco, Las Vegas & Los Angeles, which will make a change from dreich Aberdeen!
It will be nice to go out for a walk without the risk of getting drookit or getting lost in the haar.
Thanks for all the greetings!
