Phil, a friend of mine runs a limo business. It took about a year before he broke even but it's been worth it for him. He makes a pretty good living at it now. His only complaint is he had to hire drivers and gets less time behind the wheel because of the administrative end.

Right now he runs 4 limos, 3 he owns, 1 he leases. The lease is temporary to cover the bit more business his 3 can't handle, but that's growing so he'll likely buy the 4th soon. He started out with 1 limo doing the driving himself. He's been in the business almost 6 years now.

Yeah Phil, I know how ya feel. Patience is something I never did learn very well. The thing is to keep your name out there everyplace possible all the time. In time word of mouth will bring in a bunch of business. One thing Chuck does is give a little bit of a discount for Valentines Day and a few specific anniversaries, like the 10th and 25th. He had one couple on their 50th Anniversary and gave them a discount that barely broke even, but the publicity brought him plenty of further business. Some things to think on when you get to where you can do them without damage.
