Glad to hear you're happy with it, Alan H just talked me into getting one too. I ordered it today (Nightstalker tartan...looked very cool) so it should be here in a bit. Congrats on the new kilt!

Hey, I love my StillWaters! Even if you (heaven forbid) should obliterate the thing, it's not like you're dipping into your mortgage money to replace it!!!
Just wash it gently, and it will last a long time.

I've got the black stillwater too. Got a 36". No matter what folks say, not all of us have waists larger than our jean size. The 36" was too big for me. Had it trimmed by moving the right buckles back toward the pleats a couple inches and moving the inner apron strap (for the single left buckle over)... was as simple as having the dry cleaners pin it to mark for the seamstress and only cost $6.oo and now fits perfectly. Looks as if it were made that way to begin with. I wear the still at my natural waist (unlike my uk which I wear at my jeans line) and it is the right length. You might be able to wear yours lower since you are taller (6'3") than me (6').

When the occasion came to wash my Stillwater for the first time, I was very impressed with how easy it worked out. I hang dry all of my UK's and they can tend to take a while to dry (especially here in Western Washington). The Stillwater was almost dry after comming out of the washer's gentle cycle. It was completely dry and ready for wear the next morning, pleats flat and everything.
I'm very happy with stillwater and would recommend them to anyone looking for a kilt that can take some abuse. Also, I will tell you that the customer service I experienced was first rate, quick shipping, quick replacement (mix up with sizing) and the accessories were better than I expected.

Congratulations!
I have their nightstalker kilt. I'm going to mod mine a bit. I'm going to sew down the tops of the pleats about 5-6 inches and change the buckles.
