I waited until I was 59 to get my first tattoo. In less than a year I had 11 tats including a full back. (When the galleries are back up its in there)

I bought my first kilt about this time last year. I now own 25 with one more on the way. YES, they are addictive.

The great news is that they are comfortable, particularly in hot weather, and they look great with tattoos.

Hey Reece, welcome to the board!

I made kilts for a cycling team in Florida, and they claim that they're best worn in the "Sunshine State". I know a few other guys down there that are wearing my kilts on the beaches, in the bars of Key West, and one that works at Disney World. They all claim that the kilts are more powerful than Spanish Fly!

Living in Homestead... just make sure to get a quality kilt that won't fly up too high in "those winds".

Funny you mentioned 'a lot...' (I am going to move this story to a new thread though appropos here.)

I am (one of those insane ES teachers) teaching summer school. It just happened (and I swear I didn't bring it up) to come up in class that "only girls wear skirts." I and two other students (these are FIRST graders, mind you) were quick to correct him: "That's not true," I said. "Men also wear skirts, well, a type of skirt--"

At this point I was interrupted by one of the first graders. He was quick to correct the misinformed student: "They're called KILTS. And my Daddy wears one."

"Mine, too," the other concurred.

"Really?" I said.

"Yes," first grader number one clarified, "But I hate wearing them --I had to wear one at my 6th birthday party!"

Monroe County is arguably the secondmost progressive county in Florida (next to Broward, of course). So hope is high I will be wearing my kilt to work as soon as I get one...
