    Talking My introduction

Hey guys. My name is Zak and I am new to X Marks the Scot. I am from Reading, Pa and I recieved my first kilt last X-mas as a gift from my mom and future step father. It was made by Rocky and Kelly of USA Kilts. It is a Douglas Modern philabeg. I am currently awaiting my newest kilt, a Scottish National Tartan traditional kilt. Now no, I am not Scottish. I am actually of Irish family. Not much Irish blood but enough to be proud of. I am proud to be part of this culture and lifestyle.

Welcome Zak! I like your folks' taste in tartans and hope you enjoy it too. Being from PA you are certainly among friends (no pun intended) - a whole bunch on the forum hail from that state.

Truth be told, I'm jealous and may have to think about relocating. Seems there're more members in Tasmania than in the NYC area. [Graham - please note the use of 's' and not 'z' ;-) ] Or they're just uncommonly quiet for being around 'The Big Apple'. It's eerie...

Yes, I too, find your choice of tartan pleasing.

Tis a most beautiful tartan. Not some loud red abomination, nor canary coloured eyesore.

Welcome to the board! I echo the sentiments of the others in your choice of tartan.

    Douglas Ancient Grey?

Aaaaaaaaargh... I really want one of those my self. The old Black and Grey Glory, symbolic of the Douglas name it self. A weave of mist and shadows.
