    so I'll say hello, too

been lurking about for a while and finally decided to register. Born in Scotland, now here in Ontario, Canada. Will be writing citizenship test next week.
Have three kilts: my clan, McGregor, bought in Scotland when I was 17 for my wedding, no bride then but I knew I'd need it later. Very heavy regimental cloth, no longer made. Doesn't fit anymore but I'm going to see about that soon; a sportkilt, nice enough for what it is, don't go down the street in it, way too light, but wear it almost daily around the house and yard; army surplus Maple Leaf from ebay, a bit big but nice to wear around town, which I do.

been raised with McGregor rebel traditions so reject most kilt protocol as 19th Century English fashions, be ready for that.

Met the guy from R'Kilts, he's a good guy, very sincere, seen his stuff, very good work, especially his sporrans.

like to play with fire, get well paid to, as a welder, have University degree, working on second in history, black belt (Shorin-ji), guitar, play celtic rockabilly anthems.

    Coooool!

It's tough to argue with a person's perspective when it's founded in experience, so it will be nice to have another view.

You'll get opposing views and quotes, but then that's what makes this board so unique. You'll learn where we get our notions, but you'll get it with respect for your views. It makes it more of a learning experience and a clearing house for probable facts.

    Welcome!

See no reason a man with three kilts should have to take a citizenship test. Some things are self-evident!
