I've been checking for the updates but I can't seem to find them. Any news?

Same here. Doesn't really matter, I'll be there for the first week regardless, but I'd love to know if there are any up-dates.

I hate to say it, but I have noticed just one update: the link to the Gala Dinner comes up with the menu.

It looks like we all meet up for the first time at the Unofficial Brunch on Wednesday 3rd - but where and when?

Dave and I fly in on the evening of 31st July. We have friends who want to drive up from both Portland and Seattle to see us whilst we are in town, so I have suggested they make it on the 1st and/or 2nd since it looks as if we are going to be pretty much occupied for the following ten days!!

Pending my being able to get the days off from work, our plans are to drive out from Calgary on Thursday the 4th, hopefully arriving by suppertime. We're staying at the Coast Vancouver Airport hotel. We'll have all day Friday and Saturday to meet & greet everyone, then first thing Sunday morning we have to head home.
Hopefully we'll arrive early enough on Thursday to be able to hook up with some of the gang for a while. We're really looking forward to the weekend, and I'm not planning to bring any trousers along.

I'll be there from August 5-7. Anna and I will be at the dinner Friday night, but it will likely be just me at the pub night. See you all then!

I thought some of the out of town guests would like to know a bit about what is happening in the city while they are here (Hamish).

From August 1-14 the Festival of Vancouver will be taking place.http://www.festivalvancouver.bc.ca/
It's 14 days of concert series, one including the jr. pipe band for the world champion SFU pipe band. The Robert Malcom Memorial pipe band should not be missed if you have the opportunity to see them on the 2nd at noon. http://www.festivalvancouver.bc.ca/S...p?mode=G&gid=4

Also, the Royal Scottish Dance Society of Vancouver hosts Dancing in the park every Monday night in Stanely park (weather permitting) from 7:30- 9:30 pm. http://www.rscdsvancouver.org/calendar.html

I will see what else I can find out for happenings in and around Vancouver in August.
