    Why should that be?

I know why I need a kilt longer in the back than in the front, but that is because of my big gut and big butt.

That kilts SHOULD be longer in the back than in the front is simply unfounded legend

BTW, I agree with the SW (or SWK) as an abbreviation of Stillwater Kilts, and SK for SportKilts.

It's a good general rule, I'm not going to get in a tiff over it, but the question was asked about the diff between a billion dollar outfit and a more ecomomical one. Why? It's got to do with the bend-over thing and you don't want to spoil the mystery.

There's absolutely NO reason NOT to wear the StillWaters to a nice event. The "Standard" will be just fine, and the "Heavy" is perfect. As long as you accessorize it properly, there are MANY that will now the difference.

In fact, there are some modern kilts that look further away from the "traditional" kilts... and they cost more. The StillWaters' are a wonderful product that provide the ordinary guy with access to a nice kilt. The future will also hold some "interesting" additions to the StillWater line. Keep your eyes open.;)

Jimmy you keep dropping little hints on what might be coming. I for one am truely ooking forward to seeing what Stillwater comes up with next. I saw the dress sporrans that they now have availible, and I'm sure I'm going to be looking at them closer in the near future.

Sounds like those Pakistani seamstresses are working overtime at Stillwater.

I will preface this by freely admitting that I am silly. With that said, I further declare that I like my Stillwaters, and look forward to trying a wool SWK. Hindustani, Pakistani, Afghanistani, Americanistani----as I see it a quality garment is a quality garment.

I don't have a tank----YET. There are at LEAST two tanks in my future---a Leatherneck from Alexis Malcolm and a Kazakhstani tartan from our brother who specializes in the box pleat.

And I know the difference between off the rack and made-to-order, and it's a difference I appreciate.

But hot dang! A $150 jones-over-in-three-days-wool-kilt? HOT DANG!

So has anyone else here ordered one, or am I the first gineua pig? Mine should be here tomorrow, or Monday if the USPS hates me.
