I ordered a SW standard in Black Stewart on July 5 and it arrived yesterday - that's superfast considering it had to survive the hand-off from USPS to Canada Post. I am really happy with the product. It fits perfectly and fills a gap between my tank and my FK. It's good value for the money.

thinking of ordering from SW too, how much ghost money did you have to pay: duty, broker, etc.? Sorry, that's a bit nosy, -- roughly how much?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am overly amused when indivuduals talk about the over-seas seamstresses... joking or not.

If you're bored, you can go back through those threads and see an interesting trend. A handful of us went back and compiled the data, and it's hilarious! Follow the trails!!!

For now, I'm going to continue to recommend the StillWater Kilts and even wear them. It's a stand-up company that's supplying kilt-wearers with what we've been asking for. STILL, there are those that can't handle the fact!

    Duh.

Then it would probably delight you to know that I have a Stillwater Nightstalker and I like it. I also got a belt from there. I'm pleased with both purchases. I have no problem making jokes about it regardless.

I agree with the comments speaking out against those who bring up the Pakistan production of SW kilts. After the owner has made it clear that he has his standards, and he seems to be a good guy, then we're really dealing with racism.
My grandfather spent most of his life stationed in a highland post in what is now Pakistan. If the highlanders were typical, we have a whole new clan over there, embrace them.

last comment on origin of SWKs

If ya doesn't have to be a Scot to wear a kilt . . . does ya have to be a Scot to make one?

No hard feelings intended, and I'm smiling as I write this, just happy to be in a "Cheers" type place.

Jimmy, got a link to those threads? Just curious, save me some searching.

As for the SWK 100% wool Black Watch Tartan, it arrived today. My inital without-pictures review is in another thread:
