    Oh, she said she'd do me a box pleat kilt for $325. She's the lady that trained in Scotland under the old line kiltmakers and has all her certifications. www.kathyskilts.com
    Just to avoid confusion, this would be for a modern-day militray style box pleat, which takes just as much yardage as any modern kilt would (i.e. an average of 8).

    This is not what I commonly refer to on the board as a box-pleated kilt, in the style of the original tailored kilts. These are "true" box pleats, meaning that the depth of the pleats is (more or less) half the size of the boxes, and takes about 4 yards of cloth.
