Welcome aboard, always glad to have a new member.

Don't feel muttish, we are all in the same boat. I've got Stewart, Keith, Bruce, Brodie, McAlpin, Cameron, Brown and Campbell ancestors to name just a few. It's a heredity thing, we all have thousands of ancestors. It does give you a nice selection of tartans to choose from.

Speaking of clans how do you know which one your related to? My surname is McHenry and I was adopted into the family, how do you find out which clan my family was a sept of? I know there is MacDonald, MacNaughton, Henderson to deal with, how do you know. AND are you legaly a member of a clan when adopted?

It isnt just my fathers side with the Celtic blood.

My mother's family is the Roche family from Ireland.
