Thank ye all for the greetings. I nice friendly place this be. I think I'll stay.

    Be well,
The owner of the White Lion is a big Liverpool FC fan, so if you stay until closing on the weekend, you'll be treated to a pub sing-along of "You'll never walk alone", which was a lot of fun!

    Cheers,

    Welcome, Sindarius.

I, too, have been to Tulsa several times for conferences. Played golf in 106-degree weather in July and experienced an ice storm that pretty much closed the place down in January.

    You'll learn a lot here. I have!

Aye, that be typical Tulsa weather. One nice week in the spring and one in the fall. Beyond that, it's either to bloody hot or to bloody cold :-) .

Guess the wife will have to let me to invest in some dedicated hot and cold weather kilts.

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Be careful, as others have already said, "kilts are addictive". They should have the same Latin phrase on them as is on American coins:

"E Pluribus Unum", "One Out of Many"
"A day spent in the fields and woods, or on the water should not count as a day off our allotted number upon this earth."

Sindarius, welcome to the board. Your first purchase of a Stillwater Kilt was a very well-informed one. They are as "formal" as you're going to get without spending a bundle or settling for something real thin.

I'm a born-and-raised Jayhawk, but I'll still welcome a Sooner to the fray.
