G... when you actually get this thread (or if you do) would you be willing to start a new thread on what you do when travelling with kilts. What are your packing procedures, and what have you found to work over this long trip? This is all stuff that's invaluable to us!
In fact, an article in that department of your trip and how the kilts were packed would be a GREAT addition. A few pictures to highlight the thing wouldn't hurt.

sure Jimmy, when I return I hope to post piccies.
Re. the kilts, well it's not too flash, I just rolled them up in stockings and placed them in my bag. The PV kilts have fared well, but the one wool kilt needs a bit of ironing, I packed four kilts in all and I've found the number adequate. I only wish I'd brought warmer shirts since the weather in the UK has not been too warm so far.
Today we had lunch with Hamish in London, it was great meeting him, he really is a true gentleman and we have a lot in common besides kilts.
I'll post more on this later.
Jimmy, I hope to organise something about the trip online, it might be my webpage and a link here, not sure yet but thanks for the suggestion.
