Your bronze buckle looks great! How did you do it?
I applied a couple of coats of a product called "Polyshades" which is a tinted varnish product in a satin finish - not gloss. The buckle pattern is in relief so the color settles to the low areas giving it an oxidized bronze appearance. The result was much better than I expected.
Blu, I think you've done well here, taking something and putting your mark on it.
Also doing it with what you had available and making it work for you, it's the true highland way!
Love the buckle work, but especially love the cocobolo pin, I've done a bit of wood turning but would never have thought of making a kilt pin. I think I may have to steal that Idea and think It may look good as a keeper on a sporran( you know what I mean ,to keep the sporran closed).
