The wee tots in kilts are truely a sight to see. My wife and justy got married in April and her nephews Patrick 2 1/2 and Peter 1 1/2 both wore kilts and stole the show. I say go for it...it's never to early to start wearing a kilt.

If I could figure out how to post a blasted picture on this site I a have a couple great shots of the tikes decked out in their kilts and prince charlie's.

Basically you get the URL of the picture, (rightclicking on the pic, selecting Properties, then copying the thing that starts with HTTP) and paste it into your message here.

Then you either type on the other with no spaces.

Or you highlight the entire picture's URL, go up to the little formatting menu above each post that shows up while you're writing, and hit the little box with yellow sky and mountains- that will automatically add in the tags.

    Shay,

Thanks for the info but I have tried over and over again but no success. I have put pictures on the same sites other members have used but still no go, I have worked the IT folks at work and for some reason my system just does not want me to post pictures on this site. Some where some how something is being over looked but until then the galleries were my only option to sharing pics but their return has been a long time coming and I am not holding my breath so it looks like I will not be able to share any pics. Oh well

Well, where are your photos stored right now, if you don't mind me asking? On your computer at home, or online in some form?

Edit: If all else fails, you would e-mail me the pics, I have a permanent account I can put them on for you as long as we're talking less than 10 or so at a time.

    Och Aye!

Of course put him in a kilt. Untill say about 1920 or so most boys in Scotland, Ireland and the USA up to about age ten wore kilts.

When you make your son's kilt, make it over long with a long hem so that it can be let out later, and a velco fastened top also with a lot of extra material.

Hmmm... I've been sewing down the pleats on my kilts so far, so I don't know about the hem letting out since I hem first then sew them....

Wait a sec... just figured it out as I typed that- if I put a thick waistband on it, I can move that up as the years go on. The waist will look a little bunchy halfway up, but that's what belts are for.

I was at a friend's house talking about my kilts, when my friend goes "Ooh! OOH!" and runs off, and comes back with an old skirt her daughter wore, and I'll be damned... switch the aprons around and it's a babykilt Put it on my son and snapped a few pics as he was playing 'swordfight' with a spoon He's 13 months old in these pics... (and yeah... Thats me NOT wearing mine that day in the background... shame on me...)

The rest of the pics are at: Pics
