Normally I wouldn't say much, but since you're asking, here's what I would do differently, other than things that have already been mentioned (some of this stuff is personal preference, some of it stuff I've heard from different sources. None of it is gospel):
Wear the belt right up along the edge of the kilt. Don't let the kilt show over the top edge of the belt.
Fold the hose tops down further. The popcorn tops should reach down to where the pattern on the hose changes from Aren to plain. They should be a couple of inches short of the knee.
Cover up as much of the flashes with the hosetops as possible without folding them. Less is more.
Move the flashes forward about half-way to the front of your shin.
Continue to tie the laces up under the flashes, but don't tie them so high up your leg. Wrap them from front to back just over your ankle, then back to the front just a little higher.
Align the sgain dubh right above the right flashes. No need to have more than the very top inch or so sticking out.
The highland dress is distinctive enough. There's no reason to exaggerate everything.
