    Thanks guys!!

I really like this kilt. It's very heavy and warm, so I haven't been wearing it at all, other than trying it on. Once the temps start to drop it will be my kilt of choice. For the summer heat I prefer my Bear or UK.

It was made by Southern Celts, who as far as I know are unfortunately no longer in business. Chris (from SC) had it listed in the "for sale" section here then he put it on Ebay. That's where I saw it. It's 9 yards of 60/40 wool blend, and it is gorgeous!

Cory...I also have a Stillwater Irish National (economy) kilt, and the colour and pattern is quite a bit different. The SW is lighter green and has a larger pattern to it.

I just took some pics of the two IN kilts side by side as a comparison. The Stillwater is on the right.

WOW! What a difference in those two kilts...I must say that I'm not keen on that bright green...I love that dark forest green in your wool I.N.

I don't care for how bright the Stillwater is, but I like the size of the set..

I was toying with the idea of getting the SW Irish but your tartan looks so great. I can't believe they are the same.

All of you are going to throw stuff at me, but I actually like the Stillwater Irish National better than the dark green version.

    **Ducks**

Edit. I should explain my self. I will probably have more things thrown at me, but who cares.

The Irish are a loud, rowdy, obnoxious bunch. That's what makes them Irish. I mean this as a compliment, really! And any tartan assocated their nationality, such as the Irish National tartan, should reflect their rowdy party down attitude.

I was planning to buy a Stillwater Irish National, too. Now, I'm not so sure.

The other one certainly approximates the colors in the Tri-color more accurately.

    Hmmm.

Talking Enough room under the desk...

Hey Dread is there enough room under the desk , I prefer the one for SW as well and will probably pick on up soon. I like the bright colors, although if my first one ever gets here it is black. I can see it now, drinking on St. Patty's day in the perfect green for the occasion, with a nice guiness in my hand. MMM guiness.

No room, I guess I am going to get hit... Please throw guiness (in cans, not bottles)

Al, it will come with practice, believe me!

You know? That is one delicious kilt and I much prefer that colouring to the Stillwater version. Strangely, I have never thought to have an Irish tartan represented in my Kilt Kollection (possibly because I have no Irish connections - as far as I know!), but that Irish National really 'does it' for me and I am now sorely tempted. Yes, I AM tempted.......
