Well, in addition to folks on this Forum, the word on "Twin Tiers Kilt Night" in Binghamton has gone out to the local Scottish society, the Hibernians, the area pipe bands, denizens of various tattoo parlors, etc. Interest has been good, and we should have a quite decent initial turnout...!
People have asked what time it starts, as if it's some sort of structured "event." It ain't! The live music begins at 8:00pm. I'll probably head over around 7:00ish.

I might miss this one, Brian. Been traveling a lot lately, and I'm off to Boston next week.
Your October one is the night before my birthday. That might be something for me to aim for.

Well, we had a modest but successful showing tonight, I thought. Folks from both local pipe bands, and from the Scottish society were on hand....
We'll do it again next month: Sat, 8 October!

Binghamton Kilt Night
Brian - Sorry we had to miss this first one; DH and I were working the booth for Utilikilts in MD at an event over the weekend. As word of mouth gets around, I'm sure we'll see more kilted folk at the Kilt Nights. My husband, on the other hand, has fallen in love with his UK and promises me that he will wear it at First Friday in October (that will be the 7th) downtown. Care to join us? If nothing else, we can probably have a drink in the open bar area on State Street by Stephen's Square and DH won't feel so "exposed". The event in MD was under a huge tent with sides, so everyone except those of us in kilts were roasting - hot, humid, no breeze, dusty. Had no problems talking about the comfort issues those two days.
