Anyone own Clergy Blue Kilt?
Hello again.
Does anyone on this forum own a Clergy Blue Kilt?

I don't, but it would be a good tartan to wear when I'm preaching
There have been some discussions on this, here is one:

Hey, thanks Graham.
Anyone have a picture they can post of it?
A live kilt, not a tartan image, please?

Shoot! I've made two of them, and didn't take any digitals before I sent them out. One went to Connecticut, and one to England.
I'll see if either of those gents have a "picture site" that may have an image or two. Hold tight.
Unfortunately, this one doesn't help much!!

Yes-much admired.
Smart and very suitable for certain religious activities.

Fr. John,
I have one currently on order for a client. The cloth hasn't even arrived yet, and it may be several weeks before I get around to making it. But when I do, I'll have pictures I can share with you.
Aye,
Matt

Thanks again, Matt!
I can't wait to see it.
In looking at the pic of the USAF tartan, I was frankly surprised that it looked so nice.
So, I'm wondering about the Clergy Blue, ancient specifically, but, hey, beggars can't be choosers.
Thanks again, I can't wait to see it.

I'm curious why were you surprised that the AF tartan looked so nice as a kilt! Actually, to be honest, I've made kilts from quite a few tartans that I thought were, shall we say, "unfortunate choices", but I have rarely had a tartan that didn't look good once the tartan was made up. It's surprising, but true.
Here are a couple pics of the US Air Force Reserve pipe band looking pretty swell in their kilts:

Cheers,
Barb

You'll also notice, if you go to the photos in the previous message, that, unlike most bands, there's not a chubby piper in the lot!!
