Kilted in Carolina
Hey All,
I have already posted a few times, but thought I should go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Joe and I live in a small town called Boiling Springs in South Carolina. As of now I have only two kilts, an 8-yard traditional Bruce (my family name) modern from kiltstore.net and a Black Watch heavyweight from Stillwater. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and I will try to get some pics posted in the near future.

Welcome Joe,
Wish I'd had the brains to figure out kilts when I lived down south, might have avoided a lot of heat rash You're a wiser man than I.

Hey Joe,
Hello from a fellow upstate Carolina boy. I'm in Greenville and normally
kilted on weekends (I can't see myself wearing a kilt to Michelin's research center). Looks like more guys in the Carolinas are going kilted, part of that Celtic and southern "don't care what others think" individuality. Thanks for the introduction. See you around.

Hello Joe,
The worst of the summer heat is almost behind us but you still might want to find a lighter weight (cotton) kilt or MUG...
If your summers are anything like ours up here, I don't know how you stand wearing an 8yrd. I can't even look at mine without sweating!!
The higher the temperature is the more apt I am to be in my khaki cotton twill from UK. Very comfortable and it catches the breeze just right .

Welcome Carolina guys! Good lord... doesn't anyone wear pants down there?
After being in Charlotte in a kilt last year, and having it looked upon like I had leprosy... I'm glad that you're taking up the cause.
