last month I experienced CA for the first time, I was in Sonoma county visiting a celtic band who live there.
I must say that i enjoyed my stay there. I wish I'd had more time in san Fransisco, I drove thru briefly on the way to the airport, it looked a great place (for a city).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay here in cyberspace. Enjoy the kilt, simply the best garment God ever gave to Man.

Who's depressed and overly eccentric? <looks around frantically> Speaking for myself (and perhaps a few other nightowls) I know that if it wasn't for daytime I wouldn't sleep at all.

I was thinking more along the line of living in the fog... let me clarify. Weather induced fog, not alcohol induced fog. Come the weekend I tend to get more sleep during the day than I do at night but that's due to the alcohol induced fog I mentioned above.
Sounds like you've found the right forum. I would guess you are from Northern California? Altlhough I now live in Washington State, I know Northern California well and have a son who works at UCDavis.
Yes, I'm from Northern Cailfornia, though I've lived all over the world. When I moved back state-side a handful of years ago I settled down on the central coast. Two years ago I was transfered back up to Nor Cal (Northern Central Valley) and I've been miserable in the heat ever since! Oh well, at least the beer is cold.
Your son must be having a great time at UC Davis. It's a great school, and they have quite the parties!
