Allow me a correction.

Ties look stupid on me. Ties make me look stupid. My original intention was directed at self, not at others at large. When I wear a tie, I look painfully stupid. My apathy is centered between the tie and my self, and has nothing to do with other people. I dislike the object, but not the people that wear them. There really is a difference.
