As weak as American mass market beer.

Sept 1st DuClaw is having a 1 night only release of an ale they call "Repent". It's 14.3% Alc by volume Thats no weak-*** american beer ;)

DuClaw has some awesome names for their beers... a very gothic or dark tilt to them... here's the list I can think of.

    The standards:
    Venom - American Pale Ale
Bad Moon Porter - A porter with chocolate/coffee undertones
Ravenwood - A Kolsch (which now appears to be off their list)
Kangaroo Love - An austrailian lager
Bare-*** Blone Ale - A blonde ale
Misfit Red - An irish red

    The seasonals:
Naked Fish - A chocolate cofee raspberry stout. By far my favorite.
    Alchemy - Oatmeal Stout
Celtic Fury - A traditional stout
    Twisted Kilt - Scottish Ale
98 Degrees - A hefeweisen (German wheat beer)
    Sawtooth - A belgian wheat
Devil's Milk - A barleywine (by far my favorite name of their beers)
Old Flame - An old ale
    Mad Bishop - An oktoberfest
Black Jack Stout - An imperial stout
    Funk - An american wheat
Snake Oil - An imperial pilsner
    Fantome - A brown ale

I drink too much beer there I think. Either that or I'm having too slow a day at work to bother typing that all out ;)

I've never been there, but I have sampled their beer at the Microbrew Festival at Stoudt's Brewery in PA. Pretty good stuff. I too like the names they give their beers.

I'm pretty sure I've been to Stoudt's in PA. They had good stuff as well. The food was fantastic. Assuming I'm thinking of the same place

It's in Adamstown. I've never eaten at their restaurant, but they have the microbrew festivals there three times a year. A couple of friends and I have been attending pretty regularly for some time now. The next one is in October.

Ok looks like it'll be Sept 14th (Wednesday) for me at the BelAir location. Who else can I expect to see there and on that night? If we have enough people maybe I can see about reserving a table or somesuch.

If Wednesday is NOT good for anyone in particular, let me know. I can do Thursday too, but I like to be there on the first night of the release ;)

I can make it. I'll put it on my calendar, although I may have to take out a loan to pay for the gas. Yikes!!
