Just checked the Mudmen site, that's a .ca not .com, and they have a full 64meg video. Check it out, gotta feeling you're going to like these guys. Looks like another kilt night.

Suddenly realized that the Mudmen were doing a free concert downtown tonight so off I went. They are good. They've got a good fan following. They were fun interacting with the audience.

Music is punk rock, sort of. The newer kind where the artists realize they can make a living doing this. The pipers are very good. It's not a gimmick in the sense that the two pipers are actually playing a variety of styles well. The video on their website, mudmen.ca, is a pretty good representation of what they do.

Bought both their cds and will definitely see them when they're back in town in a few weeks.

Finally, a concert where I wasn't the only one kilted. There were at least two others (and two on stage).

The Mudmen are a great band. The two big guys (brothers) that play the pipes are Rob and Sandy Campbell.
They were known on the competition pipe circuit as being a few of the best pipers in North America. They decided to take there act on the road with a slightly harder edge celtic rock band. If you get a chance to see them, go. You will not be disapointed. A lot of bands have one piper but they have two. You need a big sound to have 2 pipers. They have that and more.
Machummel knows the Campbell brothers. I think he made a few kilts for them last winter.
