I've got a tweed jacket/waistcoat on order from them right now. I'll let you know the outcome when it arrives.

Thanks JB
That is what I am primarily interested in, the Charcoal to be exact.
Is it you that provided the introductory link to the forum a little while ago?
If so, then it's your fault I saw the site! Now I have to get one as soon as I can.
Let me know how it goes. When do you expect shipment?

I'm dealing with their affiliate TartanCentre.com right now. Same stuff, only a bit cheaper. The selection isn't as wide, though.
They told me it would be ready 6-8 weeks from order and I just got the word on August 22 that my June 22 order will be shipping this week. That's just a wee bit more than 8 weeks, which works for me.
Once I get my kilt, I'll definitely post a review on their workmanship.

haha no problem!
At least it wasn't me this time!
Anyway, I'd rather get it all - the reviews are a big help for future planning for me and boys, so thanks again.

Hi John,
No, it wasn't me who posted the link originally, I probably saw it the same place you did (so don't blame me! ). Anyway, I ordered it on Thursday, August 18th. Our mailperson pulled up this morning (Yep, a Sunday morning!) with a package from Glasgow. It was the jacket and waistcoat. 10 days from order to delivery, pretty good huh? I am very pleased with the quality of the items, as soon as possible I will post some pics.

They do seem to have good quality items. I too ordered the charcoal jacket and waistcoat and got it in just a couple of weeks.

Do you like the jacket you got? I looked also at Kiltstore.net's charcoal tweed jacket, and between the two, I think I like the one a Scottishkilts.net better.
That was really the reason for this post to begin with.
Do tell!

It's a fine jacket, very good quality. I haven't had the chance to wear it yet, mainly because I don't dress up that often as I'm not required to do so at work. I'm also kind of waiting for my tailored kilt to get here and I'll debut the whole outfit. I compared the two different stores and the jackets seemed to be about the same, with Scottich Kilts the cheaper of the two, so I ordered from there. Service was great and delivery time was good. No complaints whatsoever. I will probably have to get some minor adjustments done to the jacket, but that's common anytime I buy a one.

I bought a charcoal tweed Argyle jacket and waistcoat from them earlier this year. The service was outstanding, the prices were awesome, and the quality was top notch. My next kilt will be coming from Scottishkilts.net, and I will definitely be a return customer.
