You're right about that. I called a couple that I know after I posted and they both think that kilts would be an excellent way to mess with peoples heads! The REMFs are the ones who wouldn't like it-too "feminine" for a warrior. They need to look at the troops across the pond who wear them daily and proudly. Those guys have a long and distinguished history of being kilted and kicking butt.

Well, speaking as a Reserve Navy Supply Officer, I can already think of how to appropriately handle the issue of them. Really, it would be like any other clothing issue and I would be first in line to sign up for the uniform test time. Lets see, the new navy cammo they're testing for work day, non combat (NBC worries and all, although I think I could get the gear over a kilt pretty fast), Kahki and denim for the office work uniform and Edsel for dress (or Polaris if you wear dolphins (optional) or the SeaBees for the SeaBees). You sign the issue papers, get a document on how to take care of it and you have to replace it when it wears out.
