I was working with kids, from age 7-1/2 until about 15 this summer, and clearly, this was an issue I had to confront. Due to the nature of the camp (being a Jewish camp) we have Israeli dancing as part of our regular schedule, and much jumping, spinning, etc... is involved. Wearing pants is prohibitively hot I found in those circumstances, kilt was my best option. I opted for boxers (not neccessarily black, soemtimes bright blue if it was close to hand). Thankfully I was never that exposed, as my PK in all it's denim glory hung pleasantly heavy. My vote for when the unmentionables are needed: boxers, they provide (at least to me) the best comfort available, and can be found in a great variety of amusing colour/designs if you be so inclined. Oh, and the kids and staff alike loved the kilt ;)
