Question for those with websites and tartan background

Ok, so I'm working on making a web page, and I'd like to have a tartan image as my background, as some of you here have. My question is, where did you find a suitable image to use?

    Thanks

The one for Xmarks was made, I presume most others are as well, specifically for that purpose. Basically just get a tartan image, and crop it so that the repeat is correct, and only one repeat is present in the image (to cut down on file size).

I can help you out with that if you need a hand.

I will, but it will be some time.

The subject matter probably wouldn't interest most here, though.

The only page I'm using the tartan on is the "about me" page.

    Or...

Why not go to House of Tartan's Interactive Weaver to create your own tartan? The color selection is a bit limited but if you have Photoshop or similar software you can alter the tartan colors to anything you like.

    THANK YOU DAVID!

Been wondering how to do that for my desktop...just never ran it though my picture documents first...always came out small when I did it direct from that website.

Much appreciation...love my new desktop look, Macdonald of Kingsburgh tartan...the blood is home and at peace.

Had fun myself with this site....

I know it's for designing neckers for the scouts etc, but very easy to use then I cut & repeated....

I just grab a piece of tartan and plop it on my scanner and scan the fabric. You can even scan your kilt.
